What Can and Cannot Go In

Yes, but it may come with a small extra fee. Mattresses are bulky and contain springs and foam that some landfills charge more to process. Ask us about the fee when you book so there’s no surprise later.

Not unless the refrigerant has been professionally removed first. Appliances that once held Freon are regulated by federal law and can’t go in a standard dumpster with the gas still inside. Once it’s been recovered by a licensed technician, the appliance itself is fine to toss.

No. Tires are banned at almost every landfill because they trap gas underground and rise back to the surface over time. If you have tires to get rid of, ask us about a separate haul-off option.

Not really — they’re often the same container. “Construction dumpster” usually just describes the use case (job site debris) rather than a different product. The main difference is the weight allowance, which tends to be higher for construction-grade material like concrete or roofing.

Placement & Permits

No. Permits are only needed when a container sits on a public street or sidewalk. A driveway or other private property doesn’t require one

We’d rather you didn’t. Roll off containers are heavy and can damage driveways, gas lines, or septic systems if moved without the right equipment. If the placement isn’t working for your project, call us and we’ll come reposition it.

It shouldn’t, if it’s placed correctly. Protective boards go under the container on asphalt or concrete to spread out the weight. Older or already-cracked driveways are more sensitive, so mention it when booking and we’ll take extra care with placement.

Filling & Weather

We can’t legally haul it away until it’s below the fill line. An overloaded container isn’t safe to transport and can spill debris on the road. If you’re close to the top, breaking down bulky items or spreading the load more evenly usually creates enough room.

It’s not required, but it can help. Rain adds weight to absorbent material like carpet or drywall, which can push you closer to the weight limit. A simple tarp keeps water out if heavy rain is expected during your rental.

No, loading is done by the customer. The driver’s job is delivery, placement, and pickup. If you need help loading heavy debris, a local junk removal or labor service can assist separately.
